Returned TVs could mean serious savings for you

PLAINFIELD -

Millions of Americans bought TV's just in time for the Super Bowl, and now thousands are returning them. That's creating a huge secondary market and could mean some serious savings for you.

At Liquidation.com's warehouse in Plainfield, they're receiving nearly 500 returned TV's a day, that's on top of their normal return rate. Nationwide, the company is dealing with thousands more returns everyday from people who "wardrobe", or returning the sets they bought just to watch the Super Bowl on. Even though the TV's have only been used for a few days, they are now considered used products and many end up in Liquidation.com's warehouse.

Once here, Liquidation.com's Jeff Rechzigell says technicians go over them and prepare them for resale either individually or in bulk, "Our process is to take each TV, unpack it, test it for functionality, and then give it a cosmetic grade. That way we can give our customers as much information as possible about the condition of that TV."

An estimated 300,000 TVs are expected to be returned, and that means there are some serious deals out there. You can check them out on Liqudation.com's website, or Secondipity.com's website. Secondipity.com is offering WTHR viewers a 10% discount by using coupon code WTHR2012 .
