A Marion County Sheriff's Department deputy was arrested late Friday in downtown Indianapolis.

The sheriff's department and state police confirmed Deputy Ryan Radez was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct around 10:30 p.m. Friday. The arrest took place "in the downtown area."

Tuesday, police said Radez had only been charged with public intoxication by the Marion County Prosecutor's Office.

The police report from the deputy's arrest stated the incident was reported as the possible groping of a juvenile girl near Georgia and Meridian streets around 10 p.m. Friday. According to IMPD, the prosecutor's office investigated the case and determined that "neither the allegations nor the evidence supported more serious criminal charges" against Radez.
