INDIANAPOLIS -

Super Bowl weekend is in full swing in Indianapolis. Saturday night will feature a number of high-profile parties, but there's plenty going on even if the $1,000-per-head Rolling Stone concert is not in your budget.

Friday night's human gridlock in Super Bowl Village for the LMFAO concert prompted Indianapolis Metro Police to shut down several additional streets for crowd control. Some fans said they couldn't get within a block of the music and turned around. Expect large crowds for Saturday night, too - and it may be wise not to take small children if you plan to stay late. Many WTHR viewers who visited the village Friday night described the situation as "wall to wall people."

If you're an early riser, you can catch The Today Show's live broadcast from 7:00 to 9:00 am at the stage at Capitol and Georgia in the village. Please note that they'll broadcast from inside Lucas Oil Stadium on game day, so that won't be open to the public.

At 11:00 am, the zipline opens along with Super Bowl Village. You can also check out the celebrity beach bowl at Victory Field. A huge tent has been filled with sand for the event.

Last week WTHR introduced you to Shelbyville teenager Carson Diersing, a blues harmonica prodigy. You can check out his act for yourself at 12:45 pm in the village.

Local favorites The Rev. Peyton's Big Damn Band perform their fired-up swampy bluegrass in the afternoon.

At 8:30 pm, Rolling Stone magazine is hosting a bash at the Crane Bay. For $1,000 a ticket, guests will see LMFAO, rapper Lupe Fiasco, Gym Class Heroes, Cobra Starship and DJ Taryn Manning. This party is expected to attract plenty of celebrities who are visiting Indy to see the game Sunday.
