The largest party of Super Bowl week thus far wrapped up Tuesday night at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  The historic 2 1/2 mile oval never looked like it did for the media party, illuminated

The 33 NFL-themed race cars lined the entry to the Pagoda. Inside, more race cars hung from the ceiling.

Glasses made of ice kept the drinks cold, complete with white gloves for guests to hold their beverages.

Guests had a lot of ground to cover. Each floor of the Pagoda sported a different theme, with the outdoor fire pits a popular place on the cigar bar level.

Guests could take a photo with the Lombardi Trophy, or kissing the bricks on the track.

Chris Gahl of the Indiana Convention and Visitors Association said the party was one way to entice the 5,000 media on hand to report on "the game but also the city behind the game."

John Clark of Philadelphia admitted sometimes people are not that nice in Philly, but in Indy, "Everyone is saying 'hi...how is your night?' We are stunned."

Forrest and Charlotte Lucas are hosting a massive party at their Carmel estate for Indianapolis Super Bowl sponsors Wednesday night.

Lucas, who was at IMS, said he'll be hard-pressed to top the Speedway's party, "I don't think you can top this."

Super Bowl spokesman Mike Epps said the media bash is just the first of many parties this week. "The Playboy party is going to be hot," Epps said, "the Maxim party is going to be hot, and I'm going to be at all of them."

Super Bowl Host Committee CEP Allison Melangton said, "I think it's going to be really hard to beat this party. IMS has done an amazing job and it's a blast."
