Paul Simon has great affection for seeing film footage of the creation of his "Graceland" album.
Simon says it was a bunch of people thrown together trying different things in a studio. He says the album came together "like a sculpture."
"Graceland" is the subject of a documentary to mark its 25th anniversary that has him returning to South Africa. Simon says "Graceland" is one of the peaks of his career, if not the peak, and there's history that's never been told.
"Paul Simon: Under African Skies" is playing the film festival circuit and will be included in the deluxe re-release of "Graceland" in the spring.
