Roosevelt Jones scored 16 points and Butler defeated Illinois-Chicago 57-49 Thursday night.
Ronald Nored had 10 points and seven assists for the Bulldogs (11-9, 5-3 Horizon), and Khyle Marshall grabbed 10 rebounds, seven on the offensive end.
Marc Brown and Gary Talton led the Flames (6-12, 2-6) with 11 points apiece, and Daniel Barnes scored 10. Illinois-Chicago got as close as 49-45 before Butler sealed the win.
The Bulldogs shot 38 percent while UIC made just 33 percent of its outside shots.
