Peyton ManningColts owner Jim Irsay says he plans to use the first overall pick in the NFL draft on a quarterback - regardless of Peyton Manning's condition.
Irsay spoke to Eyewitness News partners The Indianapolis Star Thursday. The top pick is expected to be Andrew Luck (Stanford) or Robert Griffin III (Baylor).
Manning was out all season recovering from neck surgery, and the Colts finished the season at 2-14.
Irsay told ESPN said he wasn't about to pass up the opportunity to draft the best player.
This is a developing story that will be updated.
