HARTFORD CITY, Ind. -

Eastern Indiana police say a man already facing charges for allegedly stealing a car on New Year's Day 2011 allegedly stole another vehicle on Sunday hours after the New Year began.

Twenty-two-year-old Joshua Lee Cooper was being held Tuesday in the Blackford County Jail in Hartford City. It wasn't clear if he had a lawyer.

The Star Press of Muncie reports Cooper was arrested Sunday on preliminary charges of auto theft, receiving stolen property and driving while intoxicated.

Sheriff's Maj. Jeff Sones says officers responding to a truck crash found Cooper and he told them he had stolen the vehicle. He also allegedly told police he earlier had stolen an SUV and crashed that vehicle. Cooper already was charged with stealing a sports car in Muncie a year earlier.
