Victor Oladipo scored the go-ahead basket with 36 seconds left Saturday, and Jordan Hulls scored 17 points to lead No. 13 Indiana past second-ranked Ohio State 74-70.
Indiana (13-1, 1-1 Big Ten) is the ninth team to defeat both a No. 1 ranked team and the No. 2 team in the same season since 1996-97. The Hoosiers are only the third team to beat both teams in the same month.
Ohio State (13-2, 1-1) had a five-game winning streak snapped. Aaron Craft led the Buckeyes with 16 points and Jared Sullinger had 15.
The teams traded leads throughout the final eight minutes, but it was Oladipo's layup that gave Indiana a 71-70 lead. Hulls then hit 1 of 2 free throws, making it 72-70 and after William Buford missed a go-ahead 3-ponter with 4.5 seconds to go, Christian Watford sealed the victory with two more free throws.
