Hoosiers use 2nd half to beat Butler 75-59

BLOOMINGTON -

Will Sheehey scored a career-high 21 points and Cody Zeller added 16 Sunday night to help Indiana pull away from in-state rival Butler 75-59.

The Hoosiers are 6-0 for the second straight season and the third time since 2002-03.

Butler (3-3) was led by Chrishawn Hopkins with 19 points and Khyle Marshall with 16, but the rebuilding Bulldogs eventually wore down.

The game pitted the last two Indiana schools to reach the Final Four. Indiana lost in the 2002 national championship game to Maryland. Butler lost to Duke and Connecticut in the last two title games.

It was a defensive slugfest most of the night, but the Hoosiers finally broke open the game with an 11-2 second-half run that gave them a 51-39 lead midway through the second half.
