Purdue is almost there.
A win at home against Iowa on Saturday or at Indiana the following week would make the Boilermakers (5-5, 3-3 Big Ten) bowl eligible for the first time since 2007, when Joe Tiller was still the coach and most of the seniors were still in high school.
Coach Danny Hope says he expects to send the seniors out right on Senior Day against Iowa. Part of that bravado stems from Purdue's 5-1 home record that includes upset wins over Illinois and Ohio State.
Iowa has an 0-3 road record, including a loss to Minnesota. The Hawkeyes (6-4, 3-3) already are bowl eligible, but they are coming off a 37-21 home loss to Michigan State and would like to build positive momentum late in the season.
