Police ID man shot to death in car on west side

INDIANAPOLIS - The victim of a homicide Saturday evening on the west side has been identified by homicide detectives as 30-year-old Craig Williams. 

The investigation continues as detectives are still working to locate the 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo seen leaving the area. It is described as a "definite vehicle of interest."

A caller told a 911 dispatcher there was a black male in his 30's seriously injured and possibly dead sitting in a black Chevrolet Impala at an apartment complex in the 4200 block of Mission Drive. When police arrived, they pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact IMPD Homicide at 317-327-3475 or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
