Colts to get reacquainted with Sproles

Updated:

INDIANAPOLIS - The Colts will face one of their greatest postseason tormentors Sunday night when they try to catch New Orleans Saints do-everything back Darren Sproles.

Sproles wreaked havoc against Indy in two playoff games while he played for the San Diego Chargers, and Colts coach Jim Caldwell says the 5-foot-6 speedster is as good as ever.

In the 2008 playoffs, Sproles broke loose for a 56-yard touchdown reception on a screen pass, helping San Diego to a 28-24 win. He also had 99 yards on four kickoff returns.

The next year, he had 22 carries for 105 yards and two touchdowns, caught five passes for 45 yards and had 178 yards in returns in San Diego's 23-17 win. He scored the winning touchdown on a 22-yard run in overtime.
