INDIANAPOLIS - One month remains for eligible claimants to file for charitable funds from the State Fair Relief Fund. The deadline to file claims is Nov. 14, 2011.
The relief fund, with contributions totaling more than $898,000 to date, was established by donations to the Remembrance Fund and has received 19 claims. Of those claims, 17 have been paid, totaling $278,000. Six of the paid claims were from estates of deceased victims, and the remainder represented victims who were hospitalized for one day or longer.
Payments are being distributed to claimants well within 48 hours of being completely processed.
