Dream beat Fever 94-77, force Game 3

Updated:

ATLANTA - Iziane Castro Marques moved into Atlanta's starting lineup and scored a season-high 30 points as the Dream beat the Indiana Fever 94-77 on Sunday to even the Eastern Conference finals.

Angel McCoughtry had 27 points for Atlanta, which thrived in Game 2 with a small lineup made necessary when starting center Erika de Souza left to play for Brazil in an Olympics qualifying tournament in Colombia.

The deciding Game 3 in the best-of-three series will be played Tuesday at Indianapolis.

WNBA MVP Tamika Catchings had only eight points, 7 below her average, before hurting her right foot and leaving with 4:54 remaining. Catchings suffered the injury when she landed on Alison Bales' foot when attempting to defend Bales' shot.

Coach Lin Dunn said after the game that the injury was not to Catchings' Achilles' tendon. She will be evaluated Monday in Indianapolis.

Katie Douglas made five 3-pointers and led Indiana with 25 points.

Pacers coach invites fans

Indiana Pacers coach Frank Vogel has invited 1,000 fans to be his guest at Tuesday's deciding game.

Fans can meet Vogel at the Conseco Fieldhouse at noon Monday (Sept. 26) and receive vouchers for four complimentary lower level tickets to the game. Fans who arrive after the vouchers have been distributed will qualify for a 2-for-1 ticket offer for club level tickets, the team announced Sunday. That offer will stand until 2 p.m. Monday.
