Hoosiers try to find answer for closing out games

Updated:

BLOOMINGTON - New coach Kevin Wilson wants to change the culture of Indiana football.

First, the Hoosiers must figure out how to win the close ones.

After dropping their first two games by a combined 10 points, Wilson is convinced can find the right answer. In Saturday's 34-31 loss to Virginia, Indiana gave up 10 points in the final 32 seconds of the first half and 11 points in the final 96 seconds of the game, ruining what would have been the Hoosiers' largest comeback since 1999.

It's a problem that has plagued Indiana long before Wilson was hired, and it's something that must get fixed before Indiana can take its next big step. They host South Carolina State this week.
