Posted: Updated:

WEST LAFAYETTE, IN (AP) - Purdue University will host a panel discussion on how the nation has changed since 9/11.

The discussion organized by the Purdue Committee on Peace Studies is free and open to the public. It will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 13 in Wetherill Hall, Room 172, on the West Lafayette campus.

The panel will include political scientists and the president of the Purdue chapter of Amnesty International. The event will begin with a short video prepared by the Sept. 11 Families for Peaceful Tomorrows, a group of family members of those killed on 9/11 that opposes wars of retribution and advocates nonviolence.

Some of the topics that will be discussed will include how 9/11 has affected the economy, civil liberties, human rights and foreign policy.
