Dr. OzINDIANAPOLIS - Dr. Oz paid a visit to the WTHR studios Thursday morning before heading out to the Indiana State Fair.
He will be speaking at 3:00 pm at the Energy Armor Free Stage. The event is free to fair-goers. Admission for the 2011 Fair is $8 for adults and children 5 & under are free. Discount tickets are $7.
Dr. Oz will be taking over Oprah's current 4:00 pm time slot on WTHR-TV starting September 12th, 2011. In an impromptu gathering, he spoke to WTHR's employees about his overall approach to health issues. He says Indiana is very much the heart of America, and he aims to give families who are struggling with health problems the information they need to make decisions that improve their lives.
"You ought to be very proud of where you live, and I'm sure you are. It's a spectacular place for a lot of reasons. But for me, it represents the middle. It's where we all want to live, where so many of us do live. Our show has to speak to America, and by speaking to Indianapolis, we are doing that," said Dr. Oz.
