CENTERVILLE - An Indiana man was killed in an accident on Interstate 70 in eastern Indiana Friday.
The Richmond Palladium-Item newspaper reports the man, who has not been identified, crashed his van into the back of a semi that had slowed for an earlier accident. The accident occurred around 5:15 p.m. Friday in the westbound lanes near mile marker 141 in Wayne County.
A military convoy traveling west was involved in an accident about 15 minutes earlier. Traffic slowed for that accident when the fatal crash occurred.
The newspaper reports traffic was backed up for 10 miles behind the accident and the interstate was closed for about two hours.
