Jet lands safely after diversion to Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS - A plane from Detroit made an emergency landing at Indianapolis International Airport Monday afternoon.

Officials say the regional jet was headed for Little Rock, Arkansas when it was diverted to Indianapolis with a cracked windshield. The aircraft landed safely shortly after 5 pm.

There were 52 people on board, including the crew. The jet was operating in the Delta Air Lines network.
