Calcmoolator Pro - This app has about 200 financial calculators that can help you figure out things like your hourly wage from your salary or compare renting versus buying a particular home.
The book 101 Offline Activities That You Can Do with Your Child includes games like tic tac tongs or activities such as coffee filter painting. It's on the list of Kindle books on Amazon. Keep in mind, you don't have to have a Kindle device to get this or any Kindle books.

PharmacyChecker.com was founded by a doctor to help consumers save money on medication by finding the lowest drug prices from reputable online pharmacies. It's easy to use. Plug in the drug you are looking for, and it pulls up a long list of vendors for you to find the cheapest price around.
The holiday season is approaching, a time when we try to get together with family and friends. That's where an app called "Drink Specials" comes in handy. From Thursday through Sunday or whenever you typically indulge in adult beverages, this application can help you find drink specials and deals in your neighborhood. You can then share the specials with friends and enjoy an impromptu happy hour. This app is free!
Learn how to save at the supermarket and other stores for free. It's a class called Gettin' Coupon Crazy! Indianapolis mom Beth Hines will teach you where to find coupons, how to organize them, and the best way to use them. You'll learn how to save up to 70 percent a month on your grocery bill. The class is tomorrow at the Warren East Branch Library at 3:00 pm. Call the library for more information and to register. The number is 317-275-4550. Beth will also be teaching the class at the East Washington Branch library on Tuesday at 5:30. Call 317-275-4360 to register.
You can also help your kids learn about saving money. Tomorrow the Carmel Clay Library is holding a workshop for kids from grades 1 to 3. They will learn what it's like to have a job, get a paycheck, visit the bank, and then go shopping. The classes are from 10:30-11:30 tomorrow morning and 1 to 2 in the afternoon. Registration is required.

Gift-card-granny.com is another very similar website to visit. Also on both of these sites, you can sell your unwanted gift cards.
Kids-eat-free is the first application created for locating thousands of restaurants offering "Kids Eat Free" nights, with over 8,000 US locations, including dozens of popular national chains. This app uses your current location to pinpoint the closest restaurants in your area offering free meals for kids.
Vista-print.com is offering a customized treat bag for $2. You can customize the bags by adding a Trick-or-Treater's name to them, and you can even customize the Halloween Message on the bags. There are shipping and tax costs in addition to the two dollars, but still a great deal on a bag the kids can use over and over again.
Also, the Indy Food Swap is this weekend. Bring your homemade, home- grown, or other food items to the Earth House Collective on North East Street. You can swap for other food items. You'll find baked goods, homemade cheeses, home- canned fruits and vegetables, soups, salad dressings, and more. This is on Saturday from 1 to 3:30.

Deals go round lets you create a virtual wallet for your deals, organized by expiration date. If you can't use one, the site lets you sell it to someone else in their online marketplace.
WEreward is an app that lets you earn cash for visiting certain restaurants and places in your area. They are ranked by the number of points you can get at each one. The points equal money - basically a penny a point. For example, snap up fifty points for taking your picture at Starbucks. Once your account has at least ten bucks you can cash out. The app is free and is available on Androids, iPhones, but no longer on blackberries at the end of this month.
A free steakburger from dailylunchdeal.com expires Saturday night.
Free tickets this weekend to some Indianapolis museums.
You can get free tickets for Conner Prairie Interactive History Park in Fishers, Indiana Historical Society in Indianapolis, and Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site in Indianapolis, to name a few.

Fatwallet.com puts the hot deals online all in one place. You can find coupons to use, like 40 percent off at Michael's. The site even lists freebies on the web, like a free goodies bag from Disney Movie Rewards.
An app called Love Food, Hate Waste gives you information on portions so you never buy more than you need. It also has a feature called the food waste blender. You just list your leftover ingredients from the fridge, freezer or pantry, and you get back a list of recipes. This app is available for iPhones and Androids and it's free.
Next week, Chik-Fil-A is giving away a free item from its breakfast menu. Make a reservation at a participating Chik- Fil-A. Pick a date and time from Tuesday to Friday that works for you. Then, pick the breakfast item you want to try, and enjoy!
Catch a double feature Friday night in Fishers. Megamind and Inception are playing at Saxony. That's at 13578 East 131st Street. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks for a free night out.
Saturday, music and fireworks for free at Garfield Park. It's part of the "America We Remember" event. It starts at 6:30. You'll hear music by the Wright Brothers, also jazz violinist Cathy Morris.
The annual Labor Day parade is downtown Saturday. It heads south on Pennsylvania starting at 11:00 am.
The RibAmerica Festival is underway at Military Park. It features music and food. You can get in for free before 2:00 pm on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday.
