Kristin Ossim, Fishers, shovels the ice off her driveway.
A delivery of salt to the Kroger store in Geist

Indianapolis - The hottest item on every snow-stressed, ice-hit resident's list is salt or ice melt. There's an all-out search to find it.
For almost a week now, Hoosiers have been off-balance just trying to walk to their front doors.
"It's a skating rink and it's three or four inches thick in some places so short of going out there with an ax I don't know what to do to get that off," said Kristin Ossim, Fishers.
Salt would be an easier option - if it was an option.
"Before the ice storm hit I bought ten bags and I haven't seen any since," aid Ron Parks, Noblesville.
The stories may sound familiar: People head to every hardware, grocery and drug store in their neighborhood and beyond, only to come home empty-handed. Some are resorting to water softener salt.
At the Kroger in Geist, Eyewitness News caught up with a shipment of salt being unloaded.
"Most store managers love us. And the customers won't let us get it off the truck. We're selling three palates off the truck on average at each store," said Marcus Washington, Distribution Management driver.
Washington says he's gotten about 36 hours of overtime this week, just delivering salt.
"This is the craziest I've ever seen it," he said.
We got there just as he pulled up to the Kroger, but in a couple of hours you won't even be able to tell he was here.
"It's going just as soon as it's going out. I've seen several people on phones since I walked in here calling people saying they've got salt here so it's going to go quick," he said.
Those who missed this opportunity may want to start throwing salt over their shoulder for good luck finding some to clear their driveway.
