Macomb, Ill. - Alex Young scored 10 points and pulled down a career-best 13 rebounds to help IUPUI take a 56-45 victory over Western Illinois on Saturday night.
The Jaguars (13-10, 7-3 Summit) scored the first 20 points of the game and never trailed.
The Leathernecks (7-14, 2-8) managed to pull within 30-24 early in the second half but trailed by double digits most of the rest of the way.
Christian Siakam led the Jaguars with 18 points while Leroy Nobles added 17.
Matt Lander scored 15 points to lead Western Illinois while Jelani Johnson scored 13 and Kaimarr Price 11.
The Jaguars shot 43.8 percent from the field. The Leathernecks shot 36.7 percent.
