Muncie - Kenneth Faried finished with 13 points and 15 rebounds and Morehead State rallied in the second half to beat Ball State 50-48 Monday night.
The Eagles (13-8) trailed for most of the first 30 minutes and by as much as 10 but led the rest of the way after taking their first lead.
Jarrod Jones scored 14 points and had 10 rebounds for the Cardinals (13-5), who had their seven-game winning streak snapped.
Down 32-27 after Chris Bond's dunk with 13:48 remaining, Morehead State surged ahead with a 10-0 run. Sam Goodman scored on consecutive layups to make it 32-31 before Terrance Hill's 3-pointer with 9:42 remaining put the Eagles ahead. Ty Proffitt followed with another 3.
Morehead State pushed its lead to seven before Ball State cut the margin to one with 4:17 left. After hitting two free throws with 57 seconds remaining, Randy Davis missed a layup at the buzzer.
