RV makers hope 2011 is year industry recovers

Updated:

Goshen, Ind. - RV makers in Indiana hope 2011 is the year they finally turn the corner after the recession that battered their industry.

A University of Michigan survey says the industry expects nearly 4 percent growth this year. That would follow a nearly 48 percent increase in shipments in 2010.

Dealers tell The Goshen News they've seen financing become easier to get for RV buyers. But Phil Savari of Gulf Stream Coach in Nappanee says the year's success will come down to whether consumers feel good and believe they are going to have jobs.
