Indianapolis - An Indianapolis woman who is a convert to the Muslim religion says she feels harassed and threatened by allegations she and her husband have ties to terrorist groups.

Kathie Smith says a report on a national website was written out of context. FoxNews.com reports that the Indianapolis grandmother and her husband, who lives in Germany, are under investigation by the Indiana Intelligence Fusion Center. It is described as counterterror clearinghouse staffed by local and federal law enforcement.

All of this was apparently triggered by what Fox calls "a pro-jihadist video featuring Smith and her husband."

Smith told Eyewitness News that both she and her husband have been interviewed.

"He was within the Jemet of the group that was there. The FBI and the BKA all interviewed him, investigated him. And nothing was found. So the so-called ties, there is nothing there," she said.

Eyewitness News has contacted Sgt. David Bursten with the Indiana State Police. He says there is no investigation currently underway of either Kathie Smith or her husband.

"There have been a lot of comments about my husband and I wielding a gun. For one, that is a constitutional right, that I have the right to bear arms. There are many Christians that when you go online, there are many Christians that are wielding guns and no one says anything about it," added Smith.
