COLUMBUS, INDIANA -

Columbus - A 24-year-old Columbus man died after crashing a stolen car into a house overnight.

Michael Shane Wright, 24, was killed. Police found him inside a stolen 1999 yellow Mustang, which crashed into an unoccupied house at 2500 Washington Street. Police were called to the scene before 9:00 am Monday, but investigators don't know when it happened because no one was at the house.

There were no witnesses to the crash and no other vehicles were involved. Police say the vehicle was reported stolen from Columbus Village Apartments at 1500 28th Street.

A coroner says Wright died of blunt force trauma to his head and chest from the crash and had a blood-alcohol content of 0.22 percent, nearly three times the legal limit to drive.
