Cheerleaders get big surprise on live television

Updated:

Indianapolis - A team of high school cheerleaders received the surprise of a lifetime on live TV Friday.

The Arsenal Tech cheerleaders needed at least $12,000 dollars to make it to a national cheerleading competition they qualified for recently.  They have been trying to raise money to become the first IPS school to compete in that tournament.

Friday night, live on Eyewitness News at 5:30, the cheerleaders received an incredible gift. Cheryl Reed from Angie's List told the team the eastside company was going to donate the money they needed to make the trip.

Watch the video to see the girls' faces when they find out the news that they'll soon be on their way.
