Purdue QB Henry dealing with cut finger

Updated:

West Lafayette - Purdue coach Danny Hope says quarterback Rob Henry could play Saturday against Illinois, despite suffering a cut to the index finger on his throwing hand against Ohio State.

Henry left the game in the third quarter last Saturday after hurting his right hand. Hope said Tuesday he was optimistic that Henry would be available, but backup Sean Robinson will be ready.

Purdue already has lost starting quarterback Robert Marve for the season with an ACL injury, and No. 2 quarterback Caleb TerBush was declared academically ineligible right before the season began.

Henry led Purdue to wins over Northwestern and Minnesota in his first two starts before the loss to Ohio State. He leads the Boilermakers with 383 yards rushing and four touchdowns.
