Purdue police launch web site for parents

Updated:

West Lafayette - There is a new way for parents of Purdue students to stay informed about campus safety.

A new website provides information such as active warrants, crime statistics, names of individuals banned from all or parts of campus, and the Purdue Alert emergency warning notification plan.

Videos for both parents and students are under "Alcohol Awareness," and there are links under "For Your Son or Daughter: Useful Information for Students." Side links on the page include a message from Purdue Police Chief John Cox and additional safety information.

The site launch follows a town hall forum involving members of the community. People may submit feedback here.
