Avery "Taysia" Ely
Michael Hunt
Indianapolis - Metro Police are investigating a double homicide on the city's northeast side.
Around 4:30 p.m. Friday, police were called to check the welfare of a resident at 5853 Rosslyn Avenue, near Keystone Avenue and Kessler Blvd. The resident had not been heard from since Wednesday. When officers arrived, they found two people and a dog dead in the home.
Police identified the two victims Saturday as 34-year-old Avery Elzy and 22-year-old Michael Hunt, both of Indianapolis. Avery was known as Taysia.
Detectives are looking for a blue, 4-door 2001 Mercury Sable, which should have been at the house. It has an Indiana license plate - KW 1329. Investigators say the vehicle has 22" rims and video monitors in the seat head rests. The vehicle also has the phrase 'sexy and independent' painted on the trunk. Police believe the vehicle could be in Fort Wayne.
