"All this weather situation is out of our control. We're just making sure that we could do what's in our control which is pretty much making sure our family, our friends, and our loved ones know that we're okay or if they're here, making sure they're okay while we just proceed on as business as usual," said Mike McKenzie, cornerback for the New Orleans Saints, on the teams quick relocation.
The Saints made arrangements to come to Indianapolis because the city had available room for them to practice at Lucas Oil Stadium and room for them to stay at a local hotel.
The Saints are scheduled to open the regular season in the Superdome against Tampa Bay on September 7th.
