13 WTHRCVS meets with Pharmacy Board over prescription privacy

Indianapolis - CVS allowed your personal health information to be dumped in the trash. Now the pharmacy chain and several of its pharmacists are trying to reach a settlement with the state to avoid serious penalties.
The Pharmacy Board met in downtown Indianapolis Monday. At the same time, representatives from CVS met with board members and the attorney general's office behind closed doors.
Sixteen local pharmacies and their chief pharmacists faces the possibility of stiff fines and license revocation after 13 Investigates found they had tossed out personal information on hundreds of customers into wide open dumpsters.
The sides met for about 90 minutes without coming to any settlement, but negotiations are expected to continue.
