Marion - The Democratic challenger for an Indiana House seat says he plans to seek a re-count of initial returns showing he lost by 25 votes.

Larry Hile is the Democratic candidate for House District 31 in Grant and Blackford counties. He faced Republican incumbent Tim Harris of Marion in Tuesday's election.

Harris has retained an attorney to guide him through the re-count process.

It's one of two state House that remain undecided. The other is in District 97 in Indianapolis, where Republican Jon Elrod had a 65-vote lead over Democratic incumbent Ed Mahern. Some votes remain uncounted in that race.

The outcome of the races won't change political control of the House. Democrats are assured of at least a 51-to-49 majority.
