Hendricks County - A 24-year-old Clayton man was killed early Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash.

It happened just before 5:00 am on State Road 39 north of the I-70 interchange. Hendricks County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene.

Police say Phillip Hadley of Danville, 57, was driving a 2011 Kenworth semi tanker. He stopped in the northbound lane, then started to back across the southbound lane toward an access road when a Chevrolet Cavalier struck the semi tanker.

Dustin V. See of Clayton, 24, was driving the Cavalier. See was pronounced dead at the scene. Hadley was not injured.

The semi is registered to MCS Trucking in Indianapolis and was delivering wet concrete to the construction site for a new distribution center.

The investigation is ongoing and no citations have been issued at this time.
