Greenwood - Greenwood Police activated their SWAT team in response to a drive-by shooting Thursday night. It happened in the 100 block of Winterwood. Police eventually arrested three men in connection with the incident.

Residents in the neighborhood were stunned by gunfire Thursday night.

"They pulled up. I thought it was a paintball gun. He's sitting over the car like this driving by and he shot at us," said one witness, Brandon Cob.

A drive-by shooting brought out a massive police presence, and activated the SWAT team in a search for the gunman. The shots rang out in the 100 block of Winterwood, striking homes and cars. One bullet grazed a man in the knee.

"All he said was 'are you guys ready to get shot?' And started shooting," said Jacob Fahmy, witness.

"Sounded like a cannonball shooting off," said Susana Almanza, witness.

"There's three bullet holes in the garage. Just found out there may be a bullet hole in the fridge," said Fahmy.

Greenwood investigators say the gunfire came from a green Jeep with three suspects inside. Police say a fight may have let to the shooting.

"Some kind of disagreement and one individual pulled out a handgun and fired at least three shots into the residence," said Det. Matt Fillenwarth, investigations commander.

Not far from the shooting at the Greenwood Estates Mobile Home Park, investigators recovered a gun and captured one of the suspects, Christian Marsh, who police say was driving the car.

Police caught two additional suspects at around 10:45 pm at the Phillip's 66 at Stop 11 Road and Madison Ave. in Marion County. Police used a stun gun to subdue one of them, 22-year-old Kyle Gillespie. The other suspect was a 17-year-old male.

Police call the situation senseless.

"Young individuals with a gun and a bad temper and little self-control leads to bad things," said Det. Fillenwarth.
