Grant Co. student killed in car-train accident

Updated:

Grant County - An Indiana high school student was killed Tuesday morning when his pick-up truck was struck by a train.

Police say a 2002 Chevy truck driven by 18-year-old Titus Justus, a senior at Mississinewa High School, may have slid into the path of a train at 4th and Elm Street in Fairmount. Investigators say he was not wearing a seatbelt.

Justus was transported to Marion General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He played basketball and football for Mississinewa.

Friends of Justus have started a Facebook group in his memory.
