Bloomington - Former IU head basketball coach Bob Knight will be inducted into the university's Hall of Fame Friday.

The ceremony takes place at 6:00pm inside Assembly Hall.

Knight said he will not attend, saying he did not want to distract from the other inductees.

Knight coached at IU from 1972-2000 and is the winningest coach in NCAA basketball history.

Former IU men's soccer coach Jerry Yeagley will also be inducted Friday.During his 31 years at IU his teams won six national championships.

He holds the NCAA record for most wins with 544 victories and was inducted in the National Soccer Hall of Fame twenty years ago.
