Indianapolis - A house fire early Tuesday morning sends one man to the hospital in critical condition.
The flames broke out just before 2am at 1808 W. Wilcox near Miley Ave on the city's westside.
Firefighters say 49-year-old Michael Sanders collapsed near the front door making it hard for crews to open the door.
Emergency crews gave Sanders CPR for several minutes and managed to get a pulse. He was then taken to Wishard.
Investigators are looking for the cause of the fire, but firefighters say it may have to do with a space heater.
No one else was in the home at the time. It is considered a total loss with $60,000 in damage.
One firefighter was treated for dizziness.
Sanders remained in critical condition as of 11:30 am.
