Tippecanoe County - A jackknifed semi trailer closed traffic for several hours on I-65 Tuesday morning.

Police say the UPS semi was headed northbound when it hit a construction sign and then a guardrail. Several boxes and packages spilled out from the truck. The driver from Illinois was not injured.

The northbound lanes of I-65 were closed between SR 26 and SR 25 for several hours. They reopened at 10:30 am.

A wrecker cleaning up the mess created a hole in the interstate. INDOT patched the hole but may need to return later to fix the hole again.
