he Indianapolis Star/WTHR poll is based on telephone interviews with 710 adults age 18 and over, of which 606 said they would definitely vote or had already voted in the Nov. 4 presidential election. Interviewers used a sample of random-digit telephone numbers and the interviews were completed from Sunday through Tuesday. The full sample of 710 respondents was adjusted for age, race and region based on recent Census reports. Questions asked of the 606 likely voters have a margin of error of plus or minus 4.0 percentage points. Results based on smaller samples of voters-such as by gender or age-have a larger margin of error. Selzer and Co. Inc. of Des Moines, Iowa conducted the poll.
