Julia Moffitt is an Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter. She has been honored for excellence in reporting by the Associated Press, and the Society of Professional Journalists.
She has also been honored by Indianapolis Woman Magazine as a finalist for the people's choice award for best local female TV news anchor.
Julia has helped wake up central Indiana for the last nine years, becoming part of the Sunrise team Monday through Friday with Bruce and Chuck five years ago.
She joined Channel 13 news in 1999, coming to WTHR from WANE-TV15 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she anchored the #1 rated Noon and 5 p.m. weekday newscasts.
Prior to her stint at WANE, Julia served as a 6 and 11 p.m. weeknight anchor for WENY TV36, the ABC affiliate in Elmira, New York.
Julia is a Hoosier. She grew up in Lebanon and graduated from Indiana State University with a B.S. in Communications.
