Fresh Ideas with Leigh Ann - Who doesn't love dessert?

Leigh Ann is making some of her favorite desserts, like a delicious banana cream pie and her all time easy to make toffee candy.

Chocolate Banana Cream Pie

1 pkg. (16.5 oz.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Refrigerated Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar Dough, softened
1 can (12 fl. oz.) NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk
1 pkg. (about 3.4 oz.) banana cream or vanilla instant pudding and pie filling mix
2 medium bananas, peeled and sliced
1 1/2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed
NESTLÉ NESQUIK Chocolate Flavor Syrup, (optional)
NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Morsels, (optional)

Directions

PREHEAT oven to 350° F. Grease 9-inch pie plate.

PRESS 20 squares of cookie dough* onto bottom and up side of prepared pie plate.

BAKE for 18 to 22 minutes or until golden brown; flatten down with back of spoon to form pie shell. Cool completely on wire rack.

BEAT milk and pudding mix according to package directions in small bowl; refrigerate for 5 minutes. Spread 1 cup pudding over cookie crust (save remaining pudding for later use). Top pudding with bananas; spread with whipped topping. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until set. Drizzle with Nesquik; top with morsels. Cut into wedges.

NOTE: May substitute 1 1/2 cups milk for CARNATION Evaporated Milk.

*You will have 4 squares left. Refrigerate for future use or bake and enjoy!

Chocolate Souffle

1 tablespoon butter, softened
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
8 oz. NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® CHOCOLATIER 53% Cacao Dark Chocolate Baking Bar, broken into small pieces
1/4 cup butter, softened
5 large eggs, separated, at room temperature
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cream of tarter
1/4 cup granulated sugar

Directions

PREHEAT oven to 375º F. Adjust oven rack to the lower-middle position of the oven. Grease six 6-ounce soufflé dishes or ramekins with 1 tablespoon butter. Coat bottom and sides with 2 tablespoons sugar; dump out any excess.

MICROWAVE chocolate and 1/4 cup butter in large, uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on HIGH (100%) power for 1 minute; STIR. Pieces may retain some of the their original shape. If necessary, microwave at additional 10- to 15-second intervals, stirring just until smooth; cool to room temperature.

WHISK egg yolks, one at a time, into chocolate mixture. Whisk in vanilla extract and salt.

BEAT egg whites in large mixer bowl until soft peaks form. Beat in cream of tartar. Gradually beat in 1/4 cup granulated sugar until stiff peaks form. Fold 1/2 cup egg white mixture into chocolate mixture to lighten. Fold in remaining egg white mixture gently but thoroughtly. Divide batter among prepared ramekins. Smooth tops and clean excess batter from rims. Place on baking sheet.

BAKE for 15 to 17 minutes or until puffed and center still moves slightly. Serve immediately.

Easy Toffee Candy

1 1/4 cups (2 1/2 sticks) butter, divided
35 to 40 soda crackers
1 cup packed dark brown sugar
1 can (14 ounces) NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 1/2 cups (9 ounces) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
3/4 cup finely chopped walnuts

Directions

PREHEAT oven to 425° F. Line 15 x 10-inch jelly-roll pan with heavy-duty foil.

MELT 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter in medium saucepan. Pour into prepared jelly-roll pan. Arrange crackers over butter, breaking crackers to fit empty spaces.

MELT remaining butter in same saucepan; add sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low; cook, stirring occasionally, for 2 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in sweetened condensed milk. Pour over crackers.

BAKE for 10 to 12 minutes or until mixture is bubbly and slightly darkened. Remove from oven; cool for 1 minute.

SPRINKLE with morsels. Let stand for 5 minutes or until morsels are shiny; spread evenly. Sprinkle with nuts; press into chocolate. Cool in pan on wire rack for 30 minutes. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes or until chocolate is set. Remove foil; cut into pieces.
