13 Investigates created a survey for all of Indiana's public school teachers. Our goal was to gauge their opinions on standardized testing in Indiana. We wanted to know how the testing affects their perception of teacher effectiveness in the classroom, how accurately they believe it measures student abilities and what challenges teachers face and why. 13 Investigates also wanted to know if the teachers were aware of any cheating by colleagues as they prepared for or administered standardized tests.
This survey includes responses from the nearly 2, 000 teachers who took the survey over the last week. The Indiana State Teachers Association (ISTA) emailed the survey to Indiana's public school teachers on our behalf.
