WTHR-TV, the top rated NBC station in Indianapolis is searching for a dynamic individual to contribute to the sales department goal of generating revenue. This position requires a minimum of three years’ experience in an
administrative role, preferably within the media industry. Excellent working knowledge of various computer programs, including Windows, Word and Excel is a must. Strong organizational skills, effective communication skills and the ability to multi-task are a requirement.

Duties of the position include, but are not limited to, order entry, working with advertising agencies, generating research reports from various databases, and assisting Account Executives as needed with preparing presentations and special projects.

IT OPERATIONS SUPPORT TECH JOB #300-IS

WTHR-TV, the top rated NBC station in Indianapolis, is seeking to fill the position of IT Operations Support Tech. In this role you will be responsible for systems management, integrations, field laptop support, and desktop support with a strong focus on customer service for a 24/7/365 operation. All of our systems are on premise and we also serve as the corporate backup data center. We are seeking a motivated individual with the ability to working independently in a deadline driven environment. Every member of our team is expected to participate in on-call rotations and work unusual hours (IE: nights, weekends & holidays).

Qualified candidates must possess the following:

• A minimum of two years of formal Computer Science/IT/IS training or the equivalent in comparable work experience;

• 3-5 years of operational IT support experience in a deadline driven environment;

• Strong Microsoft skills (server OS, desktop & Office);

• Enterprise level experience including vendor relations and problem resolution; and

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.

Ideal candidates will possess any of the following:

• Experience working with VM/VM ware;

• Cisco switching and routing; or

• Previous broadcasting IT experience

Additional Requirements:

WTHR, Indiana’s News Leader, is seeking an engaging anchor/reporter for our #1 weekday morning newscast. This is a position for a true team leader in morning news, as we are Central Indiana’s News Leader from 4am-7am. The person for this job will do whatever it takes to deliver urgency, energy and personality. The ideal candidate will have the ability to command the desk during breaking news, and will also be able to engage with viewers in personable and conversational ways. We are also looking for a candidate who has a strong track record in reporting on daily news assignments and shows proficiency in generating sources and stories. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong news judgment on and off the desk and be able to connect with an audience on digital platforms as well. Must be able to work a flexible schedule and have a minimum of 5-years anchoring in medium-large markets.
