WTHR – the top-rated NBC affiliate in Indianapolis - has an immediate opening for an energetic and creative Executive Producer to oversee our 4-7am weekday newscasts. This person is responsible for story selection, reporter assignments and newscast planning and production, while also being a leader and advocate for our dominant brand. Breaking news ownership is a must to keep the newscasts evolving and engaging. You would work directly with producers, anchors, reporters, photographers and digital staff on daily content, along with pre-planning for future newsgathering needs. Our candidate should have very strong social media skills and the ability to brainstorm & engage with content on all digital platforms. Must work as a coach and mentor for a diverse newsroom staff, and be able to interpret and deploy key research initiatives in a collaborative environment. Occasional fill-in producing is expected. WTHR, Indiana’s News Leader, is seeking an engaging anchor/reporter for our #1 weekday morning newscast. This is a position for a true team leader in morning news, as we are Central Indiana’s News Leader from 4am-7am. The person for this job will do whatever it takes to deliver urgency, energy and personality. The ideal candidate will have the ability to command the desk during breaking news, and will also be able to engage with viewers in personable and conversational ways. We are also looking for a candidate who has a strong track record in reporting on daily news assignments and shows proficiency in generating sources and stories. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong news judgment on and off the desk and be able to connect with an audience on digital platforms as well. Must be able to work a flexible schedule and have a minimum of 5-years anchoring in medium-large markets.

The NBC affiliate in Indianapolis, IN is looking for a tech savvy, innovative and creative visual storyteller to join our award-winning staff. Additional Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a TV News Photojournalist preferred.
• Journalism and/or Mass Communication degree preferred.
• Current driver’s license and excellent driving history required.

WTHR, the NBC affiliate located in Indianapolis, is looking for a part-time production assistant. This position will possibly require working weekends and early Saturday/ Sunday mornings in addition to Monday through Friday operations. Duties will include preparing studios for broadcasts, operating teleprompter, operating light board and executing cues, and floor directing. Other duties include remote production needs during special broadcasts and tagging syndication promotions. Experience with robotic cameras including Cambots and Furio is a plus. Applicants must have one to two years of experience as a broadcast production assistant. Full training will be provided. A degree in a communications or media-related field is preferred.
