TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Alabama tailback Bo Scarbrough fractured a bone in his lower right leg in the national championship game. Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban said Tuesday that Scarbrough's injury won't require surgery and that he's expected to fully recover. Scarbrough was injured late in the third quarter of Monday night's 35-31 loss to Clemson and didn't return. He had run for 93 yards with first-half touchdowns of 25 and 37 yards.Read more

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Clemson coach Dabo Swinney says there should have been a foul called on the Tigers' game-winning touchdown against Alabama, and it should have been called on the Crimson Tide. Swinney said Tuesday that there was defensive pass interference on Clemson receiver Artavis Scott, who made contact with his defender and created some traffic that another Alabama defensive back got caught in on Hunter Renfrow's 2-yard TD catch with a second left Monday night.Read more

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee has hired former NFL strength coach Rock Gullickson as its director of strength and conditioning. Vols coach Butch Jones said In a release Tuesday that he has "personally known Rock for more than 20 years and know what he stands for as a coach and a person." In addition to his football duties, Gullickson will oversee strength and conditioning for all 20 of the school's sports programs.Read more
