Funeral arrangements have been set for an Indiana University student who died last week after a fall at a Bloomington home.

Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Centers is handling arrangements for 19-year-old Rachael Fiege.

Visitation is scheduled on Friday, August 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Zionsville Presbyterian Church. The funeral service is set for 12 p.m. at the same church on Saturday, August 31, with calling two hours earlier. The burial will be conducted at the Zionsville Cemetery.

Rachael Fiege was injured a fall early Friday morning at an off-campus house on North Park Avenue. Police believe she fell down the basement stairs at around 1:00 am, but no one called for help until she became unresponsive at around 8:00 am.

Fiege had just moved into an IU residence hall earlier in the week. She was a Zionsville native who planned to study pre-nursing at IU.

IU resumed classes this week with a reminder to students of the tragedy. University officials want students to know about Indiana's Lifeline law, which shields minors from prosecution if they seek help for a friend in distress when alcohol has been consumed.
