Woman's body found on southern Ind. riverbank
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found on the bank of the Ohio River near Louisville.
New Albany, Ind., police Maj. Keith Whitlow told The Courier-Journal (http://cjky.it/XBUqz0 ) that workers on a passing barge spotted the body around 10:30 a.m. EST Friday. The body had washed up on the riverbank.
Whitlow said the woman appeared to have been in her late 40s to early 50s.
No additional information was available.
