An Indiana woman was sentenced to 10 years in prison for child neglect in the death of her one-year-old son.

Chelsea Taylor was sentenced to 30 years, with 20 years suspended, for the 2012 death of Jayden Noel. Investigators ruled the child's death a homicide after a forensic pathologist determined he died of a head injury caused by blunt force trauma. Taylor was convicted of neglect of a dependent in October for failing to check on the welfare of her son and for not seeking medical attention.

A jury found Taylor's live-in boyfriend, Ryan Worline, guilty of murder and neglect of a dependent. He was sentenced to 65 years in prison.
