Woman shot and killed on northwest side identified
A 20-year-old woman, identified Sunday as Dymun Johnson, is dead after a fight with her boyfriend resulted in her being shot and killed Saturday afternoon on the northwest side of the city.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police officers were sent to the 3300 block of Devereau Drive just before 4 p.m. Saturday for the report of a person shot. Officers arrived and located a black female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Medics arrived on the scene and pronounced her dead.
A short time later, 20-year-old suspect Jordan Dugar Loy returned the residence and was taken into custody and transported to the homicide officer for an interview. Detectives believe that Loy and the woman were in a relationship and that the shooting was domestic in nature.
